ALP- Accelerated Learning Program to assist children in making the grade.

Good Character-School wide behavioral expectations focus on cultivating the character traits.

Math- Hands on instruction helps students to conquer their weekly "Mountain Math"

Reading- Individualized Reading programs in grades K-2, Literature Circles and small group instruction in grades 3-5, Accelerated Reader Program is being implemented at select grade levels. DEAR Time will be from 3:20-3:45 where students Drop Everything And Read.

Community Involvement- An active PTA (Parent Teacher Association) supports activities,

SCOR (Schools and Community Organized to Read) -student undergraduate education majors through NCSU work with students

PEPI (Physical Education Pupil Instructor) provided by Garner High School students
